Georgia-Pacific, Disney in Promotion Deal

Georgia-Pacific Corp.'s paper products will be featured and promoted at Walt Disney Co.'s parks and resorts under a 10-year deal announced Friday. GP bath tissue, toilet paper, napkins, cups, plates and bowls will be used by guests and workers at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Brawny paper towels will sponsor a stunt show at Disney-MGM Studios. Dixie tableware will sponsor Mickey's Backyard BBQ pavilion and Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Both parks are near Orlando, Fla.

Tokyo Disney Resort Leaked Personal Info on Annual Pass Holders

Personal information on some 140,000 individuals who have purchased annual admission passes to Tokyo Disney Resort has been leaked to outsiders, their operator said.Oriental Land Co. that operates Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu received phone calls from a suspicious man urging the company to buy a list containing personal information on its customers.The company has so far confirmed that personal information on at least 16 customers has leaked.The company has filed a criminal complaint with police, accusing the caller of attempted extortion, while asking guests to exercise caution.

"What's Next? 72,000 Football Fans Are Going to Disneyland!"

Disney's famous "What's Next?" commercial received an extreme makeover today as 72,000 ticket holders at the Fed Ex Orange Bowl National Championship game in Miami shouted "I'm going to Disneyland!" after each of them received a surprise free ticket to any Disney theme park in the world. The largest Disney theme park ticket give-away ever was part of the launch of the biggest celebration in the history of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts -- the "Happiest Celebration on Earth," beginning May 5, 2005.Football fans in the stadium were delighted when Mickey Mouse made a surprise appearance at the end of the third quarter and personally invited each of them to the global celebration saluting the 50th anniversary of Disneyland Park in California. All 11 Disney theme parks around the world (including Hong Kong Disneyland Park, opening September 12, 2005) will join the celebration.
