Tickets Go On Sale August 1 For Walt Disney Family Museum

One of the most awaited tributes to the Disney family is finally opening this fall! The Disney Family Museum, located on the grounds of The Old Presidio in San Francisco is a beautiful back drop for the museum showcasing Walt's Life. The official website is now up, and the first guests will be welcomed on October 1, 2009.

Disney Testing Centralized FastPass At Animal Kingdom

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Disney is testing distribution of FastPasses from a centralized location, in this case the area formally home to the It's Tough To Be A Bug FastPass machines. Currently three attractions are available - Dinosaur, Expedition Everest and the Kilimanjaro Safaris.

Sklar Honored With Disneyland Tribute Window

In a tradition begun by Walt Disney, second-story windows along Main Street USA pay tribute to the men and women who were instrumental in the creation and operation of Disneyland. Sklar's window, unveiled July 17, can be seen above City Hall at Town Square in Disneyland. Sklar was honored after 54 years of service.

Monorail Accident At Disney World Kills 1

The driver of a Walt Disney World monorail was killed early Sunday after two monorails collided at the Ticket & Transportation Center. One monorail ran into the back of another, which was parked at the station. Mike Griffin, Disney's Vice-President for Public Affairs, released a statement after the accident.
