| Veteran Disney Railroader To Retire
For over three decades, George Britton and the steam-powered narrow gauge railroad at Walt Disney World have been inseparable. Since opening day, October 1, 1971, the four vintage locomotives and 20 observation passenger cars have operated under the close supervision of the first and only railroad foreman in the history of Walt Disney World. This illustrious career will come to an end the afternoon of April 6, 2006, when Britton leaves the backstage steam train facilities building for the last time as a Walt Disney World cast member after nearly 35 years of service.
